I kinda grew up with silverchair... both neon ballroom and diorama have profound effect on me....
musically and emotionally i grew up with this band... many ppl ask me which album i benchmark
pop rock music to... i would say diorama... the song craft , the recording, the orchestra, the mix, the production,
not using autotune!, the whole vibe and feel... it is almost inch perfect...
here's the deal.... silverchair new album is out!!! a new wave sounding album ... titled young modern
5 long years.... a lot of beatles influence this time round...very very far away from frogstomp days man..
i am goin to buy this album ..a long time since i look forward to buying a CD...
Daniel Johns just got weirder and weirder as each album goes by... he is no longer angst... but still
a sensitive emotional human being... he still got van dy parks to do the strings this time round...
and they have to fly to prague to record the strings... how cool....
here's the opening track... he goes off key in some parts... sounds 'abit' like coldplay... explains the 'new wave'
approach to this album... well... a great band needs to reinvent itself all the time....
