a little while ago i helped someone to identify some problems in a group ....
Community.... Commitment .... Compassion.... the leader says there are problems in all 3 areas... and it kinda follows each other...
i desire the following in my group:
Community ... Commitment ... Character!!!! Compassion would kind of an outflow from community... the love from God to his people will be pour forth to many people outside...
i will never let go of community,,,, it is the BLOOD-Veins of the organization... no community no organization ....
oh yah... one thing i always learn : people dont like to felt used... make sure you are truly sincere about them before approaching them... else forget it... go find that capacity to love from God first ( another huge hint: get your life right with God first and other things will fall in place... )
and yah another thing i learn... people hated absent fathers... similary... ppl hate absent leaders... it creates distrust, disunity, fear and insecurity... these issues were huge obstacles any country had to overcome during its formative years... same applies to organization... DONT BE AN ABSENT LEADER!!!! an absent leader is certainty a passive/inactive , almost uncaring, or no concern person. in order words... he or she is there to fill an admin role without any influence... SO if influence do not flow from that leader... the followers will soon go on and find influence elsewhere...
