Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?"
He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid."

The consciousness that sin brings into the world makes us want to hide. Often, after sinning, i would run away from God for the longest amount of time. Why did i do what i just did? Is there anyway to make up for it? The more i try to find a way to make up to God, i found none. There is nothing i can do that atones for my sin. So i hid further. I sewed fig leaves to cover up my sins and the lack-of. Outwardly, i am putting put a flimsy thin front that everything is ok. "oh, i am healed, oh, i have recovered..." But you and i know it... it is all fake. God see through the lies.

Which is more correct? Man seeking God? Or God seeking Man? Where are you? It seems to me that it was God who was always seeking man since the way we fall. while there are 'seekers' group these days, it was God who arrange these seekers to somehow get together to discuss God! So God HAS been seeking mankind since the day we fall. He knows something is missing when His people are not walking with Him. By His Grace, he knows how to bring us back....

Grace... grace is not cheap... there is a saying... there can be no atonement without the shedding of blood. Here an animal is speculated to be sacrificed in order to make the garments of skin. It is a cover that is much better than the cover-ups that man can think of. Again, the Father knows better. He knows the perfect way to save us. He knows what we need!: garments of skin, not fig leaves. He wants to make us whole again- at whatever cost! hence, he send His Son Jesus to die on the Cross - shed his blood to win the human race. only if you believe....

Thank God for his grace... there is no sin that is un-redeemable - only that of the rejection of the Holy Spirit. If God is calling one back today, don't be hard-hearted, be open to him once more... and He will make you whole again...
