MY UNITED XI: RYAN GIGGS

The Reds' most decorated performer picks his best XI from more than 130 men he played with plus one from another era...

Peter Schmeichel won us so many matches with his saves.

Gary Neville's got fantastic leadership and organisational skills and unbelievable enthusiasm. Denis Irwin was so easy to play in front of. He had great composure and two good feet.

Rio Ferdinand has been the best centre-half in the world for the last few years. He’s got everything. Gary Pallister was superb in the air at both ends and very few players got past him.

Cristiano Ronaldo's form over the last two seasons is unmatched. He's still the best in the world. George Best was a brave player who always seemed to have time on the ball. He scored some amazing goals.

Roy Keane was an unbelievable leader who had the ability to get the best out of others. Paul Scholes is a player that can do things no other can. He has the ability to control any game.

Eric Cantona had a big impact on me in the way he prepared for games and conducted himself. Mark Hughes was a hero of mine growing up and always popped up with important goals.

Substitutes: Edwin van der Sar would be my sub keeper for his experience. I'd have Patrice Evra there as well. Jaap Stam was a defensive rock for us during the Treble season so he’s another. Paul Ince would be on there for his ability and enthusiasm, as would David Beckham. I need some firepower so Wayne Rooney is a definite and last, but not least, the best sub of them all - Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
