The worship of money? why money? cos it gives us power.
1 tim 6: 6 Now there is great gain in godliness with contentment, 7 for we brought nothing into the world, and [3] we cannot take anything out of the world. 8 But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. 9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
1. a purifying process - a crisis... an opportunity to seek God more and ask for his divine guidance in the affairs of this world
2. learning to trust God more, putting our perspective right
3. to align to God's agenda? setting our hearts on things above rather than things below
4. to learn prudence and conservatism , ie to learn to live within our means... we should not buy cars that we cannot pay for.
5. correction? conservatism? crisis? contentment? confusion? confidence?
wrong desire... why wrong desire? cos we start to use our house as a credit card and mortgage it to get money from the bank.
6. crushing the false prophets. Peace Peace , but no Peace.
7. confusion .
