* this is a response i saw... i wonder if the following is of right attitude

The answer I'm getting is don't do anything, wait on the Lord, and be happy with your life. Ok, that's fine. We're all doing that. But truth be told, deep inside, a lot of us are still yearning to be married. And you know what, I don't thinkit's a sin to want that. It is important to have that kind of close relationship if that is one desires.

Why is finding a job more important than finding a person that will be there for us? If we say we'd like to pursue a certain degree, everyone's all for it. No one asks whether it's God's will and to wait on the Lord. Everyone wants us to work hard on it. Yet, if one asks about finding the right person, the response seems negative, as though we're not supposed to.

My view on this thing is if it's important to you to get married, you have to pour your energy into it the way you look for a career. YOu learn, improve and improve yourself, you ask for God's guidance and direction, you meet people. In other words, you pray then you work at it. In God's time, He'll show you the person you should marry. But I don't believe in sitting around and doing nothing when I'm pursuing something important to me.
