Grace Vs Discipline

In order to find out what WORKS, we need to determine what does not work... elimination is a good way of finding out WHY some ppl/organisation succeeds when other are just failures or living in mediocre standard.

sometime back i saw this:

1. identify the problem
2. learn from mistakes
3. Learn NOT to repeat the mistakes....

some observations....
many .... i say MANY ppl do not get past even the 1st level... let alone proceeding to level 2. i like to focus on the dynamics behind pt. 2

Learn from your mistakes... in the elimination game... there are many ways to find out what works and what does not work... some ppl GOT it after some time, some ppl just simply live in denial... and never got it....

here are some principles to guide:
1. the WORD of God.. i do not need to explain myself here... if anyone is not keen on this area, we can all forget about trying to solve the problem... humility and submission to authority - the RIGHT authority - suppose: if one just could not submit to God and His wisdom in the Word, how could he possibly submit to the people that God has appointed him in his life? be it mentors, pastors or leaders?

2. Community- Authenticity and Acceptance... here is where the true essence of humility is tested... if a leader claims to be in touch with God, God's grace and power will certainity flow thru him... there is a call for community here... in an honest and open community, problems are eradicated very soon ,rather than later... there is CONSTANT CLEANSING among the group.... and with such cleansing, people do not hold back grace and grudges

3. Ministry Philosophy ... here is where i am going to be bold here... certain church philosophy simply stifles growth... and it keeps them wondering.... which brings me to the pt... between grace and discipline... which one comes first?
