Guard Us, Guide Us pg 86... chapter 4

The biblical view of our humanness takes for granted all that we have said so far and goes beyond it. The Bible, and with it the whole Christian church down the ages , tells us that our discernment must begin by acknowledging our Creator as present in everything and as both the source of , and the resource for, all that is good; then our direction setting must start by establishing the glory of God as our target in every endeavor; and our decision making must proceed on the basis that in all that we attempt we are to be guided by God's revealed will. Thus we shall please God by practicing righteousness, and so display in daily life the reality of the divine image and likeness, as we are called to do.
