Dear Dawkins....

Fear (the inability to trust God?). Insecurity. Unanswered Prayers. Suffering.

These issues drove you away from God? OR rather, you conclude that God don't exist at all, and the rest of us, the religious fanatics, are simply moving on in life 'blind-faith'?

These issues are NOT new. these issues are found RIGHT there in the bible. Sin is at the core of every being and it has that propensity to want to commit evil. It is simply in us.

Independence from God is not new too. It started in the Garden of Eden. It started in the mind when the evil serpent we called satan sold lies to Eve.

Insubordination is not new too. It comes as a result of unwilling to submit to the rightful authorities in life. It is basically a lack of trust in authorities. this can simply trace back to a lack of trust in God, and that 'i know better' attitude. Self-reliance is the antithesis to grace. That is why faith cannot be risen to enter into grace. Fear of the unknown. What would happen if i stepped over the line once again?

Of course, there were authorities who abuse their right and causes fear. But they are they. They are not God. They are the fallible people that sin has caused. Leave God out of the blaming equation. If i were to drive home further, it was God who allowed whatever that has abuse you in your childhood (those that 'rob' you of your childhood) to show you how sin has distorted things in your life - anger, pride, arrogant, evil powers, lust(not the sexual kind, but that of manipulation to make one seem greater, and more respected* ) . We are not created to be infallible to begin with. We are limited. That is why God did not take away the dependent relationship that the human race needs. If there's anything else, suffering points one back to God, not AWAY from God.

Everything is broken. Catholic priests who sexually abuse their girls and boys. Maybe that is why we need Jesus Christ more... He came precisely to restore and repair all broken things , to reconcile us back to God, so that we may be all made new again.
We cannot possibly be made new by simply evolving along in history.

*reminds me of a song by Nirvana- Rape Me. Rape of the mental- emotional kind. A freak of sorts. No wonder Kurt Cobain died. Reminds me of a certain actor who died due to playing Joker....
